Hangar Sortie #4: This F4U-5 Corsair is painted in honor of Major Phillip C. Delong's Korean era VMF 312 scheme. In WW2 Delong flew a F4U-1 with the VMF 212 in the Pacific Theatre of Ops and scored 11.16 aerial victories. He then flew with the VMF 312 in Korea and scored 2 aerial victories by downing 2 Yaks.
